يصادف يوم العشرين من شهر كانون الثاني الذكرى السنوية الرابعة لعملية غصن الزيتون التي نفذها الجيش الوطني السوري والجيش التركي الشقيق في عام 2018 لتحرير منطقة عفرين من المليشيات الانفصالية وحزب PYD/PKK الإرهابية.
استطاع المقاتلون الأبطال في تلك العملية المباركة تحرير كامل منطقة عفرين ودحر آخر عنصر من المليشيات الانفصالية الإرهابية حيث استمرت العملية حتى تاريخ الرابع والعشرين من آذار من نفس العام.
لقد كانت عملية غصن الزيتون بمثابة طوق النجاة لتحرير الشعب القابع تحت حكم هذه العصابة الإرهابية التي أذاقت الناس كل أشكال الظلم والقهر والاستعباد.
وقد حرصت قوات الجيش الوطني والقوات التركية الشقيقة على تنفيذ تلك العملية بأقل الخسائر والأضرار عبر التقيّد الصارم بالمبادئ التي يفرضها القانون الدولي الإنساني خلال الأعمال القتالية والامتناع عن إلحاق أي أذى بالمدنيين أو ممتلكاتهم خلافاً لما فعلته القوات المعادية والنظام المجرم من قصف متعمد للمناطق السكنية وارتكاب المجازر بحق المدنيين.
وبعد التحرير بدأت عملية البناء والتطوير وتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار وتشجيع عودة النازحين، وقد تجلى ذلك عبر تشكيل المجالس المحلية في منطقة عفرين ونواحيها وتشكيل جهاز قضائي وقوات الشرطة المدنية لضمان أمن المنطقة، بالإضافة إلى افتتاح المدارس والمستشفيات وتأمين الكهرباء والمياه وكافة أشكال الخدمات بغية تحسين مستوى المعيشة لسكان المنطقة.
وبهذه المناسبة، نتقدم بتحية احترام وتقدير لجميع المقاتلين الأبطال الذين شاركوا في تلك العملية من الجيش الوطني السوري الحر والجيش التركي، سائلين الله سبحانه وتعالى أن يتغمد الشهداء الذين قدموا أرواحهم في سبيل تحرير الأرض والإنسان بواسع رحمته.
Statement on the Fourth Anniversary of the Olive Branch Operation Launch
January 20th is the fourth anniversary of Olive Branch Operation, which was carried out by the Syrian National Army and our brothers -the Turkish army- in 2018, to liberate the Afrin region from separatist militias and the terrorist PYD/PKK party.
The heroic fighters in that blessed operation were able to liberate the entire region of Afrin and defeat the last person of the terrorist separatist militia, as the operation continued until the twenty-fourth of March of the same year.
Olive Branch Operation was a lifeline for the liberation of the people under the rule of this terrorist gang that has subjected people to all forms of injustice, oppression and enslavement.
The National Army forces and the brothers of the Turkish forces were keen to implement this operation with minimal losses and damages, by strictly adhering to the principles imposed by international humanitarian law during the battles. They refrained from causing any harm to civilians or their property. Contrary to what the hostile forces and the criminal regime did of deliberately bombing residential areas and committing massacres against civilians.
After the liberation, the process of construction and development began, strengthening security and stability, and encouraging the return of the displaced. This was evident through the formation of local councils in the Afrin region and its sub districts, and the formation of a judicial body and civil police forces to ensure the security of the region. In addition to opening schools and hospitals, providing electricity, water, and all forms of services in order to improve the standard of living for the residents of the area.
On this occasion, we extend a greeting of respect and appreciation to all the heroic fighters who participated in that operation from the Free Syrian National Army and the Turkish army. We ask God Almighty to have mercy upon the martyrs who gave their lives for the liberation of the earth and man with the vastness of his mercy.
